Full time - 38 hours per week, 9 day fortnight, Leaseback vehicle available
Do you have previous experience in the assessment of roads, pavements, gutters, building assets and sea-walls?
As part of Council’s Civil and Infrastructure unit the position will be responsible for ensuring all Council assets (including buildings, parks, civil infrastructure etc) are maintained to the appropriate standard whilst adhering to a program of inspections for our asset network.
As the Coordinator, Assets you will need to effectively communicate and negotiate with Utilities regarding restoration requirements and monitor and supervise maintenance works when required to ensure design standards are met. You will also be required to undertake both proactive and reactive inspections of Council’s assets to identify and prioritise works required, report on outcomes and provide analysis on the outcomes for the preparation of suitable maintenance/renewal programs.
You will also manage and supervise the implementation of both reactive and planned maintenance works together with Restorations and Capital Works.
To be successful in this position you will need to have certificate level qualifications in the field of building/surveying/civil construction and/or substantial asset inspection experience as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. A current C Class drivers licence, WorkCover OHS Induction card and sound computer literacy skills are also required.
