Council currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to deliver vital community building related projects over the next 2 years.
Projects include construction of new amenities buildings and associated civil and recreational Civil Construction. The role would be responsible for managing four separate projects which are currently at various preliminary stages, with total value up to $10mil.
Responsibilities will include managing consultants and contractors in relation to environmental earth works, geotechnical investigations, architectural designs, synthetic playing surfaces, civil works.
As the Project Manager, Buildings and Civil Construction you will be responsible for the full range of project management activities for projects you are assigned that includes (but is not limited to):
- Developing designs from concept to tender stage
- Project approvals
- Procurement of consultants and contractors,
- Completing investigations and feasibility reports,
- Budget management;
- Conducting audits as required.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction management, Engineering or similar
- Extensive building and civil project management experience including budget management
- Demonstrated experience in buildings projects with associated Civil works; and
- A valid Driver’s licence and White Card.
It is essential that you possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills to ensure you can confidently manage all stakeholders and lead your team and Council through the next generation of community developments.
