Concord Oval Recreation Centre (CORC) is a brand new, state of the art community focused recreation centre located in Sydney’s thriving inner west. The centre comprises a four court Stadium which caters for indoor soccer, netball, badminton and basketball, as well as a leading Health Club comprising of three group fitness studios, cardio, and weights areas. This role will also have shifts rostered at Five Dock Leisure Centre (FDLC), which comprises of a competition standard Gymnastics Hall, a two court Stadium which caters for indoor soccer, netball, badminton, basketball and pickleball. 

The Customer Service Team acts as the face of Concord Oval Recreation Centre & Five Dock Leisure Centre, meeting and greeting all members and patrons, whilst providing support to the four core business units within the two centres – being stadium, health club, children’s programs and gymnastics. Reporting directly to the Customer Services and Sales Team Leader, you will assist with the membership sales, gymnastics enrolments, court hire bookings, equipment setup and other administrative tasks whilst answering incoming phone calls, emails and general enquiries.  

 As a Customer Services Officer you will be energetic and passionate, providing up to date information on activities across both centres including the promotion of various services within the centres, and guiding customers around the facilities available to them. You will also be responsible for processing customer payments and transactions in line with our cash handling policy. 

The hours that these role’s will be required to work are as follows: 

Position 1: 14.5 hours per week

  • Monday 12.45pm – 5.30pm (CORC)
  • Friday 3.30pm -8.15pm (FDLC)
  • Sunday 6.45am – 11.45am (CORC)

Position 2: 14.5 hours per week

  • Wednesday 3.30pm – 8.15pm (FDLC)
  • Thursday 5.30pm -10.15pm (CORC)
  • Saturday 7.45am – 12.45pm (FDLC)

 Position 3: 14.5 hours per week

  • Monday 3.30pm – 8.15pm (FDLC)
  • Tuesday 5.30pm -10.15pm (CORC)
  • Sunday 8.45am – 1.45pm (FDLC)

 There will also regularly be additional shifts depending on staffing needs and special events across both centres.

 All training shifts will be taking place at Five Dock Leisure Centre prior to the opening of Concord Oval Recreation Centre, which is scheduled for late 2022.

 In addition to a bubbly, outgoing personality, you will have the following essential skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment including accurate cash handling
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills with the ability to promote the service to patrons and members of the community.
  • A valid NSW Working with Children Check.
  • A current Provide First Aid certificate (HLTAID011)
