Town Planner / Senior Town Planner – Statutory

Job No. CB17898

Town Planner: $82,573 – $94,959 per annum

Senior Town Planner: $93,392 - $107,959 per annum

+ Super + Lease back vehicle/allowance available 

2 x Permanent full time positions - 35 hours per week, Nine-day fortnight, 

 

Do you have previous experience in town planning? Are you interested in working for a progressive and innovative Council? Then we may have a role for you.

Working as part of our statutory planning team, you will use your knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations to undertake a technical and merit-based assessment of Development and other related applications submitted to Council.

 

As a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner, you will also be responsible for assessing development applications, liaising with statutory bodies and other professionals, and ensuring compliance with Council policies and other appropriate regulations.

Utilising your excellent communication skills, you will provide technical advice to other staff and customers on development applications, and produce high quality written reports to relevant committees including the Sydney Eastern City Planning Panel, Council’s Local Planning Panel and Design Review Panel.

 

The successful applicants will have a degree in Town Planning or related discipline, a minimum of 12 months experience for the town planner or minimum of 5 years’ experience for the Senior Town Planner in the assessment of development applications, working knowledge of relevant legislation and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
