About the role

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, training and supporting Council’s Strategic Asset Management Systems. On a daily basis you will  be:

  • Developing, implementing and operating Council’s (computerised) Strategic Asset Management Systems for infrastructure including maintaining its functionality to ensure that it provides high quality Strategic Asset Management Services
  • Assisting with and coordinating aspects of policies and strategies for managing infrastructure and related services based on Councils AM Plans and Strategies
  • Developing, managing, maintaining and continually updating Council’s Strategic Asset Management systems in order to provide accurate strategic asset planning and programs consistent with Council’s Long Term Financial Plan.
  • Ensuring asset accounting and valuation is accurate and maintained.

About the person 
The successful candidate should have previous experience with the development of Asset Management procedures and systems in Local Government or an organisation of similar complexity, including life cycle assessment and development and Civil Engineering knowledge of Council’s infrastructure and assets to assist in updating asset registry for asset categories such as buildings, footpaths, kerb and gutter, parks, bicycle paths, roads.
