Gymnastics Development Coach

Permanent Full-time 38 hours per week

$60,694.53 - $69,798.71 per annum + super

 

The Five Dock Leisure Centre (FDLC) is one of the largest gymnastics clubs in NSW. We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Development Coach to further develop our competitive and recreational gymnastics programs. If you have a great passion for gymnastics and want to have an impact on a large program of young gymnasts, this could be the position for you! 

FDLC is a community focused leisure centre located in Sydney's thriving inner west. The Centre caters for over 450,000 visits per year, and comprises of a competition standard Gymnastics Hall, a two court Stadium which caters for indoor soccer, netball, badminton and basketball, as well as a leading Health Club comprising of two group fitness studios, cardio and weights areas.

We are currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Development Coach to lead our Gymnastics programs. You will be required to teach morning foundation and higher-level gymnastics skills within our levels programs, Team Gym and competitive squads. Using your extensive coaching experience, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Centre’s gymnastics programs are fun, progressive and engaging. You will be required to teach gymnastics skills at all levels, attend competitions and assist in the development of new programs. A key focus of this role will be to ensure the programs are professionally run and appealing to new and existing gymnasts. The classes to be taught will be negotiated with the successful applicant based upon qualifications & experience, individual requirements, and FDLC program needs.

To be successful in this role you will have intermediate gymnastics coach accreditation, extensive experience in coaching gymnastics and programming within a gymnastics environment, and excellent communication skills. Strong leadership and mentoring skills must also be a strength to support the team. A current first aid certificate and Working With Children’s Check is also required.
