About the role

We are currently seeking a motivated and organised Operational Services Support Officer to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team. The Operational Services Support Officer will play an important role in supporting the effective and efficient delivery of operational services within the PMO /and broader City Assets directorate. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent administrative skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Provide administrative support to the PMO including but not limited to; scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and coordinating communications.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of operational reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather and disseminate information as required.
  • Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and other documentation relevant to the PMO.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support the procurement process by assisting with tender preparation, contract management, and supplier communication.
  • Assist and support other City Asset business units, from time to time, under the direction of the Manager PMO and/or Coordinator, Operational Services.
  • Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned by the Manager PMO.

About the person 

  • Relevant education with Certificate III in Business or equivalent OR previous experience in similar position.
  • Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within a local government or similar environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with database management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

What’s on offer

We are offering an attractive total remuneration package for the right person, starting at $71,736.33 to $82,496.78 gross per annum + Super.
