$33 per hour + super + weekend penalties

Concord Oval Recreation Centre (CORC) is a brand new, state of the art community focused recreation centre located in Sydney’s thriving inner west. The centre comprises a four court Stadium which caters for indoor soccer, netball, pickleball, badminton and basketball, a leading Health Club comprising of two group fitness studios, cardio, and weights areas, as well as a Creche facility that provides a convenient solution for those who would like to utilise the facilities. This role will also have shifts rostered at Five Dock Leisure Centre (FDLC), which comprises of a competition standard Gymnastics Hall, a two court Stadium which caters for indoor soccer, netball, badminton, basketball, volleyball & light volleyball.

The Customer Services Team acts as the face of Five Dock Leisure Centre & Concord Oval Recreation Centre, meeting and greeting all members and patrons, whilst providing support to the four core business units within the Centres – being gymnastics, stadium, creche and health club. Reporting directly to the Customer Services and Sales Team Leader, you will assist with the membership sales, casual court hire bookings, equipment setup and other administrative tasks whilst answering incoming phone calls, emails and general enquiries.   

As a Customer Services Officer you will be energetic and passionate, providing up to date information on Centre activities including the promotion of various services within the Centre, and guiding customers around the facilities available to them. You will also be responsible for processing customer payments and transactions in line with the Centre’s cash handling policy.

Casuals are provided with as much notice as possible for available shifts however, last minute notice may be required to cover unforeseen staff leave. 

In addition to a bubbly, outgoing personality, you will have the following essential skills and experience:

·         Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment including accurate cash handling

·         Experience working in a team environment

·         Outstanding customer service and communication skills with the ability to promote the service to members.

·         A valid Working with Children Check & First Aid Certificate

The schedule will vary based on business requirements, across the following span of hours:

Concord Oval Recreation Centre

·         Monday to Friday 5:30am - 10:00pm

·         Saturday & Sunday 7:00am - 6:00pm

·         Public Holidays 7:00am - 6:00pm

Five Dock Leisure Centre

·         Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00am - 8:00pm

·         Tuesday & Thursday 9:00am – 10:00pm

·         Saturday 8:00am-6:00pm

·         Sunday 9:00am-1:30pm

·         Public Holidays CLOSED
