About the role

This position is for an experienced and motivated Business Analyst to be part of a team of application support specialists & analysts to ensure and maintain the efficient functioning, availability, and performance of the organisation's ERP software applications. 

You will 

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse needs, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Lead the development and implementation of process mapping methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance organisational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges, analyse data, and recommend solutions to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Work in collaboration with application support specialists in developing business solutions and implementing change. 

About the person 

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Business Analyst with a strong track record of successfully driving digital transformation and implementing innovative business solutions. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively are essential. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in alignment with the local government's digital strategy, aiming to enhance its service delivery capabilities.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a developing and implementing Digital Business Solutions, preferably in Local Government. It would be preferred but not essential for applicants to have a 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Relevant Experience.
  • Experience in business analysis, process improvement, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of successful stakeholder engagement and collaboration in a complex organizational environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certification in business analysis is desirable.
