About the role
As the Coordinator Building Capital Works, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management and delivery of capital programs and projects within our community. You will draw on your extensive program management experience, project management knowledge, and excellent stakeholder management skills to effectively contribute to the growth and enhancement of our city's infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead the effective planning and design of building and shade structure capital programs and projects.
- Oversee and manage the successful execution of all projects within the capital works programs, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational goals and community needs.
- Monitor and report on key project metrics, whilst providing guidance to teams and senior management to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Drive continuous improvement through the identification and implementation of operational efficiencies, process enhancements, and innovation across the program.
- Support, develop, and mentor team members, ensuring they have the skills, resources, and opportunities to succeed and grow
About the person
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualification in project management, construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in program management, including building design and construction projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal abilities to effectively liaise and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders (both internal and external to the organisation).
- Well-developed understanding of project management methodologies, contract management, health and safety legislation, and procurement requirements, including how these functions integrate with capital works activities in government organisations.
- Ability to think laterally and strategically, anticipating and managing problems, and applying sound judgment to resolve complex issues with practical and positive solutions.

We are offering an attractive total remuneration between $115,560.42 to $132,894.48 gross per annum + Super, Leaseback Vehicle or Car Allowance.
