  • $76,474 - $87,945 per annum + Super 
  • Civil Liability Allowance
  • Fixed Term (12 months) - 35 hours per week
  • Participation in Council's 9-day fortnight scheme

Join our dynamic team at the City of Canada Bay as a Graduate Engineer and kick-start your career in our Infrastructure Planning team in the Roads & Traffic Business Unit!

We are seeking a passionate and driven individual who is eager to learn, grow, and make a real impact in the engineering field.

If you are a recent graduate or currently pursuing a tertiary degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management, this opportunity may be perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the development of infrastructure engineering projects and in the planning of related infrastructure works.
  • Preparing infrastructure project plans, designs, cost estimates, engineering specifications and tender documentation etc.
  • Undertaking inspections of works to ensure compliance with scope and project objectives.
  • Carrying out environmental assessments and project reviews and obtaining approvals in accordance with current legislation.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • You will have demonstrated problem-solving and time management skills and experience using CAD applications, Microsoft Office suite and database applications.
  • Excellent communication skills along with experience working effectively in a team environment is essential.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
  • Adaptable and willing to take on new challenges.
  • A valid ‘Class C’ Driver’s Licence is required.
