About the role
City of Canada Bay Council is searching for a new team member to join our Information and Data Governance team. You will be a collaborative, customer-focused records professional to support day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of Council’s information management program. You'll bring experience in records or information management—ideally with TechnologyOne ECM and SharePoint administration experience (although training will be available for the right person).
You'll thrive in a supportive team culture, you are solutions focussed, take lead when required, partnering across the organisation to improve compliance, access, privacy and lifecycle management. Our team is at the forefront of innovation, currently laying the foundations for an organisational wide digital transformation program and have just moved into new activity-based working offices in Drummoyne.

On a daily basis you will:
- Oversee day-to-day records management, including capture, storage, retrieval, archiving, and disposal.
- Ensure compliance with legislation such as the State Records Act 1998 and Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act.
- Manage Council’s electronic records system (TechnologyOne ECM).
- Provide advice and support on records, information, and data management for projects and teams.
- Develop and maintain processes and policies to meet compliance and governance requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in records and information management practices.
- Promote awareness and understanding of records management policies across the organisation.
- Monitor compliance and support corrective actions when required.
About the person
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualifications or proven experience in Information, Data, or Records Management.
- Strong experience with Electronic Document Records Management Systems (EDRMS), especially TechnologyOne ECM.
- Proficiency in SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams for recordkeeping.
- Experience developing and delivering training to build staff capability in records, information management, and privacy.
- Collaborative approach to managing information programs or projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice standards in records and information management.
